Wiring, Re-wiring & Upgrading
Let us design your installation system or modify an existing system for optimal performance. Cables can be channelled into walls with our specialised equipment and then re-plastered, hiding them from view.
We can also use either plastic trunking or conduit with surface fittings or flush mounted fitting.
We can provide domestic heating including economy 7 storage heaters, convector panel heaters, bathroom blower heaters, individual water heaters, immersion heaters and electric showers which can be pumped as required.
We can also expand your electrical facilities by fitting extra sockets, smoke detectors, cooker points, new consumer fuse boards or earth leakage protection (RCD), for your complete peace of mind.
We also supply and fit outside lighting for security and decorative requirements including quartz halogen, metal halide and sodium discharge. These can be switched on manually or automatically.
Maintenance, Testing, Inspection & Fault Finding
Faults can occur in existing systems for various reasons, from animal damage to general wear and tear.
By testing your installation regularly for faults, we can locate any problems and efficiently rectify them, making you safe and affording you complete peace of mind.
Electrical Design
We can design and calculate all the necessary technical details based upon your specific requirements, allowing us to design bespoke systems that provide appropriate light levels, power sockets and supply, tailored to your precise needs.
Electrical Surveys
We have links to a number of local estate agents and surveyors, and we can survey, test and inspect all the circuits listing the results of each circuit separately on an approved certificate.
As well as for new homeowners, surveys are also conducted in conjunction with an annual test and inspection report, in order to assess whether increased load is available to supply new electrical needs, such as an extension to your property.
Consultation
Full consultation is offered for proposed installations, problems with existing systems and for help with extending existing systems to ensure they meet your individual requirements.
Analysis of inspection reports and surveys enable us to estimate remedial costs for substandard dwellings and to quote for new installations.
Part P Regulations
From the 1st January 2005 the law changed. The Government amended the Building Regulations with a new Part P requiring all domestic electrical work to be carried out by a registered electrical contractor. All domestic electrical work in England and Wales will be enforced through local building control.
This has wide ranging implications when it comes to selling or renting out your property, and even taking out building insurance. The home owner will be required to provide appropriate evidence. Contact us for further information.
